A “T” is easier for the installer as it only needs two brackets on the wall to hold it firm at the correct height and then slide the stove back into it whereas offsets can take a bit more brain power .
A “T” and bracket will push the stove forward into the room around 8” meaning a larger hearth but stove is slightly more efficient as the hot gasses are held in longer than top flue and does give the opportunity for using all the top as a cooking heat source if required...provided its not the convector type stove.
