HI,

Difficult to see in winter but there's a young Virginia creeper doing well on the back wall. We had an idea that another creeper might compliment it growing up the sides of the door of the shed. The sun is coming from the same direction so it should do as well as the Virginia creeper. The reason being that the tannin stains from the nails would then be hidden/softer. My question is whether a creeper sucker would be able to attach itself to smooth wood panels? Any advice?

TIA

Matt

You could easily attach a wire framework to it to grow anything up. You obviously now know that you would be choosing stainless steel hardware for this :)

Sadly, not my doing! I would have used steel pins. You should see the cedar panel fence the other side....... Yeah, a wire frame would work thanks but just wondered if any could climb without man made help.
