The majority of claimed COP figures are pure hokum...only achieved in the manufacturers test facility. Many installers/users are finding average COPs of around 2 are only achievable in typical installations. For maximum efficiencies underfloor heating (with very close pipe spacings to give low operating temperatures) and signifiant building insulation is required; anything less ie standard sized radiators is a waste of time.
Where mains gas is available they should never be installed.
Many units provide air conditioning that negates any eco savings from the heating side.
