You might be able to use a thermal imaging camera to identify cold patches. I believe you can hire them but not done it myself. Best done on a cold frosty night I think when the heating is on.
Follow up by filming the roof on the same cold night to look for warm patches (they will also show up by frost meling which you can see by eye)
