He's now had 2 more quotes. the first one he 'didn't take to', and I must admit the fact he changed his surname from the start of the visit to the namecard at the end (would you believe Smith to Jones?) was a bit worrying.....
The latest quote seems far more reputable though more expensive. My only outstanding questions for you guys are
* "Barlo Quinn compact white radiators c/w grille" - are these a good quality?
* "Honeywell Valencia thermostatic radiator valve" - likewise
* are thermostat rad valves required (Bulding Regs?) on all rads - I'm sure there are rooms where he'd just want them on whenever the heating is on, but the quote has them on every rad.
Boiler is a glowworm fuelsaver and the quote includes 'full strip down service'.
Following room by room spec, the quote is:
Refill heating system and add corrosion inhibitor via feed and expansion tank.
Balance heating system so that all radiators heat evenly.
All waste products and debris generated to be disposed of or recycled via local waste transfer
centers. Associated controls documentation to be handed over to client.
Materials: £1249.89
Labour: £750.00
Sub total: £1999.89
VAT 20%: £399.98
Total: £2399.87
The work itself will take approximately 2 working days.
