I'm after some advice:
We had a small single skin breeze block outbuilding/shed built (not attached to house)
It was built using breeze blocks and then rendered. I also tanked the inside of the walls to make water tight
Roof is flat with a slope and guttering and water butt system
There is no heating or insulation in there - the walls were battened and OSB sheets put on
I also have fitted x2 4" vents to aid airflow, and used a extractor fan on one of the vents, to pull air in to aid ventilation.
When the concrete base was was laid down - we didn't use any sort of DPM , something that i didnt really think about tbh as i had no idea about that sort of thing. I then put self levelling compound ( Bostik Cempolay)on top of the concrete base, and laid down some cheap lino flooring.
However - i am finding that there is mildew/condensation on the lino flooring, and the freezer door, which drips off and pools on the floor the lino has also bubbled up in places.
The condensation only really occurs when the temperatures are sub zero or there abouts.
I thought with the fan pulling in air , it would eliminate any condensation but it can only do so much i guess?
How could i remedy this?
If i pulled up the lino and took off osb sheets etc, and put some liquid DPM down and lapped up to walls, would that help?
