Confused over new replacement intercom handset

Have just replaced my intercom handset with a comelit 2602 but can hear or speak to any one at the buzzer I have wired it up in the picture is this correct ! Door can open buzzer works just no microphone

Hi it was a LT Terraneo 603 original and forgot to take picture of previous wiring.

Sometimes these handsets come with a piece of paper with the wiring code for most makes, and you can match it up with the new handset.

Did you get anything like that with the new handset?

Came with this but don’t quite understand it with the wire set up I have !

Ok, so it appears you old handset had terminals T, 6, 3, 6, 2, M, -V. Presumably not all were used.

Can we see more of that chart you have just sent?

There should be some indication which matches up the old connections with the new connections, possibly at the top of the page.

The terminals shown on your photo of the new handset should be the same as the terminals written at the very top of the page you have just sent.

But they are not.

Any more terminals on the new handset which your first photo may not have shown?

On that first photo, the two black wires are obscuring one of the terminal markings. What does it say?

A is lock
B is speech out
C is common
D is call
E is speech in.

E is therefore the terminal that was covered up by the two black wires.

Can you remember or work out which colour wires went in which holes on the OLD handset?

A picture of the old handset may be helpful too...

If the buzzer works , and you can open the door , then I would say the speaker and mic are reversed …B and E ….also have you tried adjusting the volume pots in the handset ? …..what was wrong with the old 603 handset ?

Just looking at the handset picture does that black wire link between B and E if so that’s not correct

There was nothing wrong with the old handset just ugly! So replaced it checked with intercoms r us and they said the comelit handset was compatible yes their are 3 black wire 1 was separate and 2 together I can hear through the intercom but no sound from handset when I speak and no sound from the front door intercom also have turned up volume on handset for volume can’t remember where each wire went on old handset just removed it and then tired to work it out !
