Connect rigid vent pipe to flexi vent hose

Just a quick Q -

I need to connect a rigid vent pipe 100mm to flexi vent hose.

I think something like this might do it:

Anyone know if this fits inside the pipe/hose or outside? The internal diameter of my flexi-hose is 100mm. Don't want to fart about bodging it with duck tape.
