Connecting 1/2inch to 15mm pipe

So I spent most of Saturday touring round various suppliers but the general response varied from "never heard of it, a 15mm coupler is a ½ inch coupler" to "we don't stock it because we have no call for it".

that type of reply is all too common, unfortunately. There is a call for them, there is a reason for them, if there wasn't the makers simply wouldnt make them ... 1/2" and 15mm are 2 different physical sizes, sure "sometimes" you can get away with using the wrong one, but the basic rule of "correct tool for the job should be used" remains true ... just wait till you get 15mm and 1/2" olives mixed up and cant work out why the dam thing wont seal

Anyway after trying 7 suppliers I did manage to obtain a ½ inch to 15mm solder coupling and this did the job perfectly.
