We recently bought 4 Tower buffet food/plate warmers with the intention of placing them down the centre of the Xmas dining table.
Unfortunately the power cords are only 80cm (31") long and the manufacturers instructions say DO NOT use extension cords with this appliance, so running an extension cable or 2 from a double socket at one end of the table does not appear to be an option? Putting them on the floor dotted around the room certainly isnt!

I know very little about electrics and will engage the services of a knowledgeable sparky if needs be but is there a safe way around this problem without great expense?

The specification for each hot plate says: Frequency -50-60Hz. Power consumption. 200W

The best and safest solution would likely involve having an electrician install additional outlets or a power strip along the table. This would ensure that each warmer has its own safe power source without the risk of overloading.
