If only you knew me! I was once a GMB party branch Chairman where I worked, I voted Labour too. Previous to that I voted what was then Liberal. In fact I see centre left parties in countries like Denmark for example that, in many ways have policies that, if our current Government adopted, would be classed as far right wing.
I hated Jeremy Corbin as a party leader but I actually quite like Kier Starmer. Apart from Brexit, Labour would need to change before I vote for them. I'm not happy with quite a few things with the Conservative party, especially things Covid related (vaccine rollout excepted) so I don't feel they deserve my vote. Probably just as well we are not close to an election because I would waste my vote by not voting currently.

They should absolutely carry out the wishes of the majority vote. If the Gina Millers' and John Bercows' of this country had not so catastrophically ruined our hand, they might have had a better bargaining stand point and achieved a better deal. I quite agree that being part of the EU did have some benefits, and it would have been better to have kept those beneficial to ourselves in a cake and eat it sort of way. An economic union but less dictatorship with regards to local decisions/policies. It's odd that one if it's primary values was democracy and yet they then became so un-democratic?

Nation:- a large body of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory
So if the majority of that nation support or allude to something, the MP should act in their best interests...

if an MP lived in a constituency where many businesses needed to be in the Single Market, it would be the responsibility of the MP to campaign to stay in the EU or at a min inside the SM.

This is an often quoted claim.

But I've yet to see any brexiteer actually provide any evidence the UK govt would have got a better deal.

The simple fact is: if you want free access to the Single Market, you have to agree with the rules.....almost the problems faced post Brexit are a lack of recognition of this.
