Conspiracy theories abound...

This time the moon landings..... i so want them to be true.... but a couple of questions.... the lunar module wasn't much bigger than a transit van... yet it apparently had a fold-up car stowed in it's underbelly?!!!

And then, when they wanted to leave the moon...well to leave the Earth it takes a rocket 36 storeys high ? agreed? well the moon's gravity is one sixth of the Earth? so we'd need a rocket 6 storeys high?

But in reality, the astronauts left the moon in a bubblecar which was powered by the equivalent of a balloon bursting !!!!

Sounds a bit made up to me !!!

It was a mini.

The saturn five had to lift the larger command module as well as the lunar module and enough fuel to get to the moon and back. The lunar module only had to lift itself into orbit.

yeah but it wasn't much more than an upturned aerosol can..... with only 1/6 of our gravity !!

What I've never worked out is how the cameraman got up there for the outside in readiness for the "one small step..." shot

Simples,, A camera fixed to the outside of the LEM, pointing to the ladder/steps .
Crikey, you ignore the obvious at times. ;) ;) ;)

(there again, it could have been Patrick Moore with his super new reflecting telescope. (the one Mrs Stanley from Accrington complained about, she reckoned he'd be able to look through her bedroom window all the way from Selsey to Lancashire)

I still like that thing they used to do on the spaceshuttle launch. The initial blast used to rock the whole thing over by a few degrees and they had to wait for it to rock back to the correct angle before they lifted off. Clever, eh?

Just a pity that all the rest of the flight was an illusion since they actually flew to a disused warehouse on the Isle of Man and set the computer simulators going to make up realistic movies. Pixar has a lot to answer for ;)

Listen, i don't care either way..... i just bought shares in DIYnot....

Now lets discuss immigration... anyone got any thoughts? ;) ;) ;)

There are no immigrants in the UK. It's all just one big conspiracy and we are all just white indiginous honkeys on this little old island of ours.
