Further to this.... In order to maximize the door opening I'm thinking to hang the door such that it closes ONTO the framing timber, and not inside it like you usually would. So, machine a bit of timber down to the same thickness as the door, attach to the stud that forms the door opening but set back 15 mm or so from the edge so that the 15 mm acts as the door stop......
Does that make sence and is there any reason it won't work?
