Hand cutting miters was fine in the day and sharpening your own saws, but how often did you have to deal with a white, shiny, and extremley brittle finished mdf. I have three chop saws that all have different uses and couldn't cope without them now. I tried a titan fine finish blade for the chop saw. It was out of balance so I sent it back. Screwfix as usual no quibble. I have a Dewalt blade that cuts with vitualy no break out even when cutting a mitre backwards. It probly was a bit over priced but has paid for itself times over. Filler for work tops is different to silicon. It comes in toothpaste type tubes in colours to suit. It very quickly goes very hard so get your skates on if you have clean the joints as you go.
