Hi, my daughter recently moved to a new home and has started decorating. Upon removing the wallpaper in the lounge, she found what I think are possibly old fixings in the wall. This is a timber frame house which I am guessing has plasterboard clad walls. I am used to the older brick wall and solid plaster so am not really up on the new stuff. Am I correct in thinking that these might be special fixings for holding something heaving to the wall? She us unable to pull them out and they had been wallapered over so could it be that they have been pushed or screwed in and that some sort of butterfy arrangement at the back stops them coming out? I just wanted to be sure that these are not something more important relating to the structure of the house. I have attached some pics.
Thanks.
