Cracked Asbestos soffits

Asbestos cement was used a lot in the 50's and is pretty safe if left

My soffits gutters and downpipes were made of it.
A normal window replacement company did my soffits and gutters , taking care but not excessive protective measures. Later on I removed a couple of drain pipes and double bagged as instructed by my local council.
Then I took it to the tip and they disposed of it.

No real drama

I doubt that there is any danger from leaving the stuff in situ. It could be painted (without sanding!) but asbestos reacts with paint and tends to make the paint fall off after a bit

looks like it maybe an overclad with some thin ply over something judging by the waves in it.. what is underneath?

then you have to assume it is highly dangerous. You will need a specialist company to remove and dispose of it
No, you follow recognised advice from bodies such as the HSE and dont be alarmist.

Also, you don't actually need to be a specialist company to remove this type of material.

It’s called non licensed asbestos but you still need to be trained annually to remove it.
