There's "uneven" and then there's UNEVEN If you laid them fair enough, if a 'professional' laid them then it's a total botch.
Looking at the right-hand side you'll see the fore-aft slips line up with the left-right slips. But if you look at the left-hand side you'll see the alignment is out by at least 1/2"
Also, "eneven" means there will be unevenness in surface texture, not ruddy great vertical out-of-alignments and wide joints as the left-hand slips appear to be.
