Hi all,

Just looking for some advice.

We moved into this 1984 property in August and it has been the house that just keeps on giving. But, we're getting there. Before we moved in, the previous owners paid for a 'decorator' to come in and paint all the walls white. We've noticed that in some walls there are cracks coming down them which look to be the plaster. I was just wondering if anyone has any advice. I've attached a photo as best I can to show the sort of crack. This is in the kitchen which is a cold part of the house and I didn't know if it was just a thing plaster does when it's cold.

We had the conservatory skimmed in the summer as it the walls where full of old glue and cracks and that plaster has cracked but we know it's common in places such as a conservatory where the temp can be really high or really low.

Just interested in thoughts on the crack (s) in the kitchen. I wasn't sure if something like this could be caused by having the old skirting boards pulled off and new ones put on.

Thanks in advance,
B.
