Hi guys
I know cracks can happen in relatively new buildings/extensions etc but I was wondering if you can help me with the best way to tidy them please? I've gone through one with a stanley knife and then filled it but it's come back. Attached are some pictures of the type of cracks I'm dealing with. It's on an extension with a flat roof if that makes any difference? Thanks as always

Cracks over joist? Probably not.
Tungsten scraper to make a channel.
Fibre fuse mesh tape set in that channel with toupret filler.
Sand
Paint.

If you sink the tape below the original surface you don't get a surface bump. Can't see the tape.

Another good way is to rake out the cracks, make small holes along the crack and squirt in low expanding foam.

Then, cut back and fill when cured. Works a treat.

I've written here many times about how I repair cracks like that.
