After years of creaky stairs slowly gnawing away at my mental health, I've decided to fix them (or burn them)

The problem is I will have to do this while the hordes of kids use them, with perhaps only a few hours respite.

So what glue should I use - presumably a fast setting type?

And is there any reason why I should not screw and glue the wedges to the tread/riser?

if your short on time?then use a polyurenthne glue, they even do a 5 min 1 but you do need to work bloody quick with it.

if the wedges are loose you either need to remove and clean all surfices that touch or make up new wedges if the old ones no longer fit

whilst the wedges are out you can force glue into the nosings ect

not a good idea to screw wedges as you may split them better too pin into place after tapping home

as said above gorrila glue expands slightly as it sets so ideal for filling 1mm or so gaps
