Hi everyone
This query stems from a previous one.
I need to extend some wires in a wall mounted gang box so as to be able to connect them to the face plate - the advice is that whilst not ideal this is still ok to do.
The general opinion seems to be that crimps are better and are more permanent, all of which makes sense. Some members however have mentioned about the risk of crimps overheating if not properly connected and I find this slightly worrying.
With this in mind, is it safer to use terminal block, or are there any steps I can take to make the crimping safe?
Any advice would be appreciated
Regards
