Well retired now, but we are going on our first cruise with MSC. Question is do the cabins have sockets in to charge the phones etc.?
Thanks

Yes they do, but you may need a travel adaptor depending on where the ship originates. For example the Princess ships are an American cruise line, so you will need USA adaptors. I don't know where MSC originate from. My guess is that if you check out the FAQ's on their website, you will find details relating to the cabin electrical supply. Happy sailing :D

If they dont, I would love to know how they power the tvs within the cabins, and vacuum the carpets!!

Lou.

According to the website, both 110V and 220V are available, and adapters are free of charge when onboard ship.

Thanks all. Mind now at rest OH would be lost without mobile.
MSC is Italian.
Thanks again.

Ships voltage is 230v ac, and you'll need a continental adaptor.
Its the only think you'll get free from the Meanest Shipping Company, too.
If you bring booze on board they take it from you; if you buy booze on board they hold it back until you leave; excursions are the price of a small mortgage; tipping is automatic from your bill.
Do you want me to go on......?
John :)

Seriously mate I do hope that you both have a wonderful holiday :D
I've only done one cruise so I know nowt.
Do enjoy! :D

If it`s got sky it will ;) I`d have thought the OP would have stayed closer to shore - he probably owns a sloop :p

Once you leave port the ship will switch on it's own mobile network. So yes, you'll have coverage wherever you go.

Don't you need to ensure that you're set to "Roaming" on the network for this to happen. Or is it automatic these days?
