Hi all.

I'm having some sockets added in my garage, my neighbours dad is an electrician, and to keep it cheap, he said I could source the cable and sockets etc, mount and run the cable but not terminate etc etc.
Is this 2.5mm cable ok to use, ive just got it free .
I was told its low smoke cable, but its white and stranded twin and earth.
It's what was left on the end of a roll.

Thanks

Isn’t a single conductor required for a circuit, or at least good practice

Sorry the guy said its what gets used in schools etc due to low smoke properties if there's a fire (I think I heard him right )

LSF cable is likely to be used in schools alright, although T&E type cable isn't. Singles in galvanised containment is the norm in schools.
