Can't separate the whole of DSOTM Pink Floyd*, Comfortably Numb PF again and Run To You Bryan Adams

*talking of which, if you ever get the chance to see Australian Pink Floyd, go see, they're awesome, note-perfect on all the Floyd stuff.

Too perfect makes them too lifeless. Very few bands play exactly to the record.

Have you ever seen them, or is this just your usual condemnation out of hand...?

Just the usual. As a guitar player I'm prone to be a bit critical of plastic playing.

Well, personally I prefer it when live it has more than a passing resemblance to the original album version, rather than wanging off and doing different riffs, stopping and starting and all that pants.

Although I have liked the MTV Unplugged Eric Clapton and Bryan Adams stuff, which are totally different from the originals.

skytalkz, you should try the stones STRIPPED album , brill ;) and dylans before the flood with the band they dont come any better ;)

Some bands (most in fact) can't replicate live what they can do with 3 months and 5 million quids worth electronics in the studio. So yes - I take your point.
