Damaged Lawn

ok plse ignore my last post as i have now loked at your pics and that aint caused by animal urine

looks to me like you have a highly compacted area in the centre of that lawn and the water is just running off before it has a chance to drain through.

if this seems right try spiking it with a fork to give rain water a chance to penetrate

And its not caused by compaction either, read earlier posts about foot traffic, forking it is pointless, the grass is dying ...........

You said the lawn is 25 years old, do you always collect the grass whilst cutting it, and has it ever been fed?
