We have had an extension built and made an opening through one of the external wall of the house. The plaster still seems damp on one edge of this opening. When it was wet in the start, I didn’t bother much because water from the boiler condensate pipe was dripping on the outer side of this part. This has now been plumbed in and the wall looks dry from the outside.
But now there is another issue, the main stop valve is near this area. The valve and the pipes around it are dripping with water (condensation).
Can anyone suggest what I can do to fix the issue? I can’t use lagging on the pipe as space is tight, but if I wrap insulation on the pipes, would this solve the issue of condensation on the pipes? Would some sort of tape work in this situation?
This still leaves the issue of wet plaster, could this be rising damp.
