understandable he might try to run away from the sort of people who will shoot you dead for a traffic violation.
That doesn't happen to privileged people.

One of the bestest things about the wearing of the helmet, is nobody knows who you actually are, & therefore by default they simply do not care. I have rode this Sceptered Isle with rock gods, with Oscar winning actors (OK, maybe not a real Oscar) & with many other folk who suffer from Joe Public's misconceived attention. They likes their bikes 'cos it makes them feel mortal again, it levels the field & they can go out & about to mingle amongst the great unwashed without having bits of their bodies ripped off for a trophy souvenir.
One of our chaps is a barrister, he's school'd us as best he can in how the law works & he's skooled us all in what to say & what not to say during their frequent, routine & mostly illegal traffic stops. "No comment" does nothing but raise their hackles, "am I legally obliged to answer that question" will get you a sharp & painful blow from a baton. Apparently, it is our choice as to just how far it all goes, the only thing that seems to make any sense to us is the GoPro's we now find necessary to wear all over everything. Attitudes seem to change when they on camera !
That very succesful barrister also happens to be black (actually half-caste). In his day job he drives a BMW, He can tell you exactly how the ratio of being a black man in a BMW & a biker, nondescript in a helmet works. He can also predict at what point when he's out on the bike that their attitude towards him changes.
If you had ever ventured out of your mother's back bedroom comrade JohnDski, you would maybe understand that us folk who have to suffer the ****e of the real world, & maybe just slightly, have a likkle teensy weensy inkling of how it all works.
