Daylight bulbs in new study

White ceiling definitely. Maybe slightly off-white walls, but I personally prefer pure white, and I might (!) have more sway in that room than in any other in the house when it comes to decorating.
Isn't a neutral grey supposed to be colour of choice for photo editing environments?

Actually yes. That's a very good point. So, if I do get to choose that, then it will be a mid-grey colour, without any tints in it.

If you do go down the suspended ceiling route, there's loads of indirect lighting modules that fit straight into a suspended ceiling grid in place of the tiles.

Are there any suspended ceilings that actually look nice? I've been in too many offices where they're incredibly ugly. Do they do "luxury" ones for boardrooms and managing director's offices?

The grid's going to be the same what ever you get, and then it's up to you what tiles you go for. There's loads of different finishes to choose from.

I think a plain white tegular tiles look good, but you might hate them

Wouldn't this look lovely

For a room that size a concealed grid system may look nicer than a standard grid.

Though, the choice of lighting modules to fit them is less

1200 x 300 tiles look nice with two recessed twin 1200 x 300mm fittings with T5 high frequency lamps, maybe
