microwave stopped working and the capacitor was shorting out so swapped that and microwave is working fine. The oven element is now glowing red but the fans are all working? Also when it gets to about 60c there a buzzing noise, the element is in good condition and meters out ok. It looks to me in the image attached there a bulb missing or is this something else. Also the buzzing could be coming from the box in theothe two images

There is a a lamp in all the microwaves I have seen but they are usally covered and it is hard to see from your 1st pic if that is a lampholder or not. The buzzing is possibly from the transformer laminations vibrating when warm.

Thanks for your reply and it appears to be running ok now but the image where I think a bulb fixes the interior metal panel is shaped to fit what could be a bulb?

Is that inside the cavity. As I say they are normally covered and I still cannote see from your new pics if there are any terminals or holder for a bayonet cap or ES or SES lamp. If you can use it without a lamp then I would not worry too much about it.
