Hi all

A friend has a De Dietrich oven (sorry can't remember the model number). The user manual suggests using rubber gloves to untwist the glass cover for the bulb.

I tried to twist it (anti-clockwise). It just doesn't want to budge. It twists about 5 degrees, but that is it. It does feel as though the rear housing is loose though.

Any (sensible) suggestions?

Had a similar problem with our oven, different make though. I took all the shelves out, and after removing a couple of self-tapper screws, the rear plate of the oven came out to expose the fan and the element. The lamp glass was screwed into this plate, so I was able to "manipulate" it so that it would screw out.

I had another go this morning. I managed to remove the glass cover using a Baby Boa Strap Wrench.

The back plate is slightly loose but the problem seems to have been me being too girlie
