Why oh why did you change the forum settings so that the proles can see our hallowed combustion chamber in the forum index? What was wrong with having it appear only to the chosen ones after they'd logged in?
Now, there are a gang of ne'er do wells who've got the hump with us gasmen cos they can't go into our 'private forum' (as if they could understand what we were talking about in there anyway  ).
The ringleader of said ne'er do wells is now running amok on the plumbing forum, even using false IDs to start bogus threads. Just cos he can't go in the combustion chamber. I ask you, was it worth it? ;)

Personally I'm not upset that we can't get in. I am, however, deeply upset that you lot are allowed out

Are you allowed to 'sign people in' as guests.???
Sort of like having a trial membership

After all, how are diy'ers like us supposed to become competent to do gas if we can't read about how the pro's go about things? ;)

That's the catch 22 on gas. You have to be competent to sit the exams, and you can't work on gas unless you're competent.
 No wonder Joe's got the hump.

I'm trying to remember the name of the bloke on here who was always banging on about it being legal to do DIY gas work and in particular used to harp on about a particular make of boilers which you lot kept wading into, claiming that he wasn't a fitter at all but just reading from a manufacturer's brochure. Must be a couple of years ago now.
