Decent cordless screwdriver

Jewson sell the Durofix li-ion for 117.49 inc VAT. I don't know if that is a good price or not. At least it lets you know that they stock them.

I have never heard of Durofix. Are they a top quality products? Where are they made? Are they British? American? Who?

That's just another cordless drill -which is what I was trying to get away from, but thanks none the less..

Cheers

Richard

If you are driving intensely for long periods then a drill/driver with a large battery is the way for you. probably a 12v as the batteries are smaller and the drill is too, so light on the hand. There are small driver only tools with small batteries and 3 hour chargers, which you will find limiting.

not really - the durofix is a 10.8 volt with a 15 minute charge time - you will not run one battery out while the other is charging , anyway after a hours hard screwing you'll be ready for a cuppa

The specs aren't a million miles away from the Bosch, which is cheaper and has a 3 year warranty if you register it.

They are Taiwanese, using Lithium Ion Battery cells from Sony in Japan, not the cheapo cells from China
Only making their own brand in 2006 but made for loads of othe big names for years, Bosch, Snap on etc.

Sorry, but this is total and utter rubbish.

Oh, and thanks for bringing a thread back to life that's over a year old!
