yes, although I always make frames of 4 pieces and bolt the two frames together. I wouldnt bother with an off cut of a post for B, if you intend dong it that way - just use a length of your framing timber (6x2).

Do you mean bolt a piece across the front of the 2 joists? Will that be much better structurally?
The only reason I have planned in this way, is to avoid having to cut all of the joists. And also, the joists really need to sit flush at the front so that the deck doesn't come out further than it needs to.
The frame will be made up of 3 metre joists so the gaps between joists need to stay at 3m to make things easier for me.
However, if it's not as strong doing it as above, then I'll have a rethink.
