Just got first home and notice (what I think is weird) hob is halogen and wired through usual cooker switch with the 3 pin socket next to it, seems to have usual heavy cable to connector behind oven, what seems weird is the oven is built in but not plugged into socket ring. It is plugged into a single socket under the cabinet, that runs up the wall to a 13 amp switched isolator withe neon light, the main feed seems to be a dedicated 2.5 T&E from its own 16 amp breaker in the consumer panel (marked "oven"). Cable run is approx 5 metres and only buried in wall along side the switched side for the isolator. I am worrying over nothing?

A16A radial would appear to be adequate for the oven with what is presumably a switched fcu.

That's fine for a single oven.

Double ovens, and cookers, would have to be hard wired into the cooker outlet.
