Just got back from work, so not had a chance to do anything yet. I shall have a go in a bit.
UPDATE. Got home to find that almost all of the radiators are working. One was stone cold, but the rest had heat. I have now shut them all down, except for the cold one. That forced water into it and heated it up. I then bled them all again and turned them back on. At the moment, all seems well.
As long as the system limps along until the spring, even if I still have to shut off the hot water to start it in the morning, I shall live with it. It really needs some new radiators to replace the 1950/60s examples, so I shall get someone in to sort it all out properly.
If, on the other hand, it does not work in the morning, I shall scream, loudly.
