Night courses?

Expensive, but do-able

Once qualified start sending your cv out, or go to media job part time and try to get work self employed.

If you put the hard work in, charge fair with good work, you will reap the benefits!

Why dont you do an evening course at collage and keep your IT job as well, You might find a job with someone that needs help at the weekends to help you on your way?
im a roofer but many years ago i did an evening course in Carpentry and joinery at my local collage, it was tough after a days graft but it has helped no end with work even if now im a leadman(dont ask) mainly, i still get carpentry work.
