How much diagnostic access to the PCB in a boiler does the average "engineer" have.

How many boiler PCBs have built in hardware/software to enable accurate diagnosis of the PCB's functional condition ?

How many PCBs are deemed to be faulty when the fault is elsewhere in the boiler ?

Physically it usually comes down to checking inputs and outputs, checking voltages to and from certain components etc

Getting down to component level then that's would be more for an electronics specialist.

The more expensive a boiler is, tends to lend it towards being enabled with a more detailed on board software diagnostic mode, either on the boiler read out or with a direct/wireless diagnostic connection.

Most have the same access afaik, there are some the have advanced diagnostics
