Diamond Core drill

Followed the link to look at the reviews but there are no reviews showing for that product. Have they been deleted or is it just for me?
That's the 110 volt. The reviews are for the 240 volt version of the same drill.

This looks a good tool . Anything that saves wear and tear of my body is worth the extra money.

One of my sub contractors had the bosch clutch failed he had 8 weeks off work.
I personally wouldn't have any core drill that relies on a chuck.
The ones with a direct screw mount far better.

I does look good but when the video says not to use slotted core bits, is that only the case when using the (expensive) dust extraction attachment? I watched the video with the volume turned down. That said, the dust extraction does look impressive.

Problem I'm not cutting enough holes to warrant Drill, extraction & new unsloted bits

I got the Makita hp2071 for core drilling, very impressive, clutch doesn't kick in too early. Wasn't sure about the keyless chuck but it hasn't slipped under load.

I think this is what I have now. It's lost it guts but it has been a good drill.

I may well go buy another. I fancy a change but better the devil & i haven't the stomach to pay out £500+.

Have you considered having it repaired? It might be something as simple as the armature or the field housing

see item 44 (£13) or item 38 (£29.99)

As the old saying goes.......on the whole it doesn't owe me anything. It's 10 + years old, and it's got me out of a hole or two in the past.

I went to ITS this morning with the view to spending £575.00 on the top most powerful Makita.

However it was alot bigger and heavier.

So I went for the £287.00 lesser model.
It's what I had before.

I only had a 1½ hole through brick but it was smooth and effortless. Far better than the Dewalt that's roughly the same price.

The bigger test will be 127mm. But the 1½ the clutch worked as I could of only hoped.

Watch for more comment but so far I would recommend for price and performance.

I've got the same and was about to recommend it. Still made in Japan and you can feel the quality. I got a used makita wall chaser the other day. Made in 2019 IN ENGLAND! What time warp did that come out of i wonder.

Is the chaser any good?
