I have a chalet bungalow at the bottom of a no through road which has a sizeable driveway. There is a galvanised garage at the boundary edge.
My bungalow has two bedrooms on the front and I wish to extend outwards on both bedrooms. One to house a small kitchen diner so that it can be used for my elderly mum as a granny annexe (she will be using the existing inhouse bathroom and bedroom. On the other I need to match it and have a small garage so that the galvanised eyesore can be pulled down.
There will be no one it over looks and will be approximately 3 metres from the road.
I spoke to an architect today who suggested I go for pre planning advice.
My mum is unwell and cant manage on her own and would so love to move here with me. Has anyone done this and how likely would a planning officer look favourably on it.
Many thanks
