The default distance flue-opening is 300 mm, what is the default distance flue to brickwork/windowframe, was it also called builders opening?, and how do you measure it? heart to heart? Inner pipe (actual flue) to opening or outside pipe (in fact the airduct) to opening?
Some say it is 150 mm and others think it is 200 mm.
I think the one in the picture might be a little bit close.

i though it was 150mm from edge to edge as this is the reason behind it. like in your pic it is probably affecting structural integrity.

It's 300 mm as far as I know, edge to edge. But what about that vent?

Sooey is right about the 300mm but as he says ben what about that vent?

300mm from an opening window
150 from an opening in the fabric of the building ie door/window subject to mi's is the relevant distances plus their is something in the regs about flues through lintels/supports about windows.that is my understanding maybe someone more knowledgeable will put me right.

I am sure its 300mm from and internal corner numpty, but being really fat and lazy I am not going to get me book from the van to check straight away

:)

The hole for the flue should not be closer than 150mm to any structural opening in the building fabric because it could seriously weaken the structure, as illustrated by the pic above.

Structural openings are not the same as ventilation openings! A structural opening may contain a window that is not openable, or where the openable section of the window is well over 300mm away.

corgi inspector told me that it's 300 mm to the reveal of any opening window, even if the opening is on the other side.

I don't think that can be right. The actual ventilation opening might be say 1000mm away. What possible risk could there be in such a case, providing that the flue hole is at least 150mm from the reveal of the structural opening?

Numpty has gave the right answer as he is the only one to put "subject to M I`s . Most say 150mm to opening in fabric but some give different distances

Clearly the image posted is too close to the airvent, but from any other perspective drilling through the sprung arch is just total stupidity.

The new plume diversion kits allow you to get within 40mm of window openings for the actual concentric parts of the flue, in the case of certain manufacturers.

So fitted with a PDK this flue (apart from the risk of serious structural damage to the property) could be fitted if it were a Vaillant, for example.
