Hi all,
I've ripped my dated bathroom out and looking to move the shower over slightly to be central to a new bath going below it, I've just pulled the old insulation away and revealed how close it currently is to a light switch on an adjoining wall. Makes me wonder, what the regulations are around the separation within a wall.
Ideally I want to move the centre of the shower to where the pencil line is next to the joist (which will need to be cut out and extra bracing across above and below). But I'm questioning firstly if this is allowed as it currently is, if I can move it closer, if I can put some kind of water barrier between them, etc..
Alternatively, it would be a lot easier to offset the shower, but that'll look naff!
Any advice?
