anybody know about the diversity on the high level busbar trunking?

would it be overloaded?

That really is your call.

You need to assess the site - there is no diversity guidelines set in stone for this time of install.
 
thanks lectrician, i see where your coming from.

even been in contact with canalis/scnieder to ask about diversity for the busbar. dont think they really wanted to say either way.

thing with the current setup is that the main busbar chamber is protected by 400A fuses. off this comes the 400A 3p+n busbar trunking and the db that needs replacing.

rather than have a seperate feed to the replacment db it'd be a hell of a lot easier to power the new db off the busbar trunking. can anybody see a problem with this?

obviously you would be loading more down the busbar trunking cable and busbar but its rated to it so........

calculated that total load on the busbar trunking would be about 1200A split over the 3 phases if everything was on at the same time but that will never happen, probably wouldnt reach half of that.

anybody got any rough idea/ guidlines as to what i can safelly attach to the busbar trunking?
