Diverter valve issues help required.

I think I have figured this out. The diverter valve syncronous motor (just been replaced) isn't moving the valve far enough. When CH+HW is being demanded it's in a midflow position. If I manually move the valve so that it latches everthing works fine. What would cause this? has the time unit failed?

Right that means it is a divertor valve and not a mid position so you only get one at a time.
In that case ignore micro switch suggestion, also bypass valve should not be closed off.
Hot water needs to be on all day on timer and thermostat at bottom of tank set at 60 . The valve motor will not get power to it to move it into the heating position until the cylinder stat is satisfied .
Hot water not hot enough would suggest one of a few things
1.Boiler stat not up high enough to heat the cylinder.
2. Cylinder stat not set high enough/faulty
3. blending valve letting too much cold to mix (as agile suggests)
