Know what you mean, I knew a pilot at coldrose airbase and he said that the reason there's alot of flying on fridays is to use up fuel otherwise it'll be cut back. and night flying must be good practice for when they have to go miles off shore to pluck a spanish fisherman with brocken leg off his boat in the dark in a storm, oops! getting carried away thereJohnD said:Working on their public image. When the Navy does it, you could look on it as a training exercise, too. Hard to say what it costs in extra fuel and flying hours but might be better than leaving it parked all the time.
