Are her kidneys and liver ok? We had an older border collie that was having fits, and that was the issue with her.
This is what I was asking about flea meds for.
Apparently they are responsible for the death of lots of dogs in the US by taking the main brand anti flea meds. (I no longer have the link to this though).

I really hope that she gets the correct diagnosis and treatment so that she comes through this, it's heartbreaking to hear of dogs in pain.

I can only go on what they said, but the blood /toxicology should have found that.

This morning she cannot walk or stand, went out for a pee and collapsed on the frozen grass. Whippets do not like being cold. So this is not heading in the right direction.

sh*t that does sound similar. sorry for your loss. its very hard when they are so young.

I do hope not! It hurt more, because she was such a very, very clever dog.

How did the vet diagnose tumour? MRI? bloods?

There was no MRI available back then for animals. I cannot remember how it was diagnosed, my head was in a spin at the time..

We've never much bothered with flea meds, we've never had a problem with fleas. They've picked up the odd tick, on holiday, when in fields used by livestock.
