If you buy a good quality S/Steel sink and pipe it in suitably clipped copper then you will have no issues with movement of your pillar taps. Cheap S/Steel sinks from asia are typically thinner steel with poorer quality dies and the tap area always seems to be weaker and liable to flexing.
Good quality sinks are made with thicker steel and are cleaner pressed creating much more durability.
