I came across this a while ago , apparently the Swiss government are thinking of reintroducing the obligatory household storage of emergency supplies. This was done during the Cold War but was dropped but may it seems be coming back.

Seems to me to be a good idea although I must say the quantities are on the small side , I've probably got a lot more and could feed the family for several months if needed as well as stuff I grow. I couldn't see such a move being popular in this country though , it's just common sense but the moaning would be extensive.
Does anyone else on here think it's a good idea , or do you practise something similar or is it just a totally pointless exercise?
