Do we have the right to be 'ist'?

I was once investigated for being racist as part of a grievance procedure. Apparently I kept overlooking a middle eastern for advancement/promotion because I was a rampant racist. Unknown to me they'd asked most of the colleagues I interacted with & got 100% feedback that I most certainly definately wasn't, my favourite chinese chap in the whole wide world commenting that he owes his whole career to me . . . . .

I wasn't overlooking the arab 'cos he was ethnic, he was really crap it his job, totally out of his depth & I was gobsmacked he'd clung on for so long.

When I was informed of the grievance & the results I raised my own grievance, that the grievance raised against me was an assault intended to cause harm. Then it all kicked off.

I do believe the day will come that someone shouting racist will be had up in court for slander.

Mrs Bod favourite Chinese chap had been round ours often when I got home from work. She particularly loved a 69 off the menu. And the way he done her pan cakes she her telling a friend.

She enjoyed them so much that by the time I got home there was none left  but at least she'd done the washing up.

I don't think the slander laws will cut it. It needs to be treated as a criminal act similar to assault, because that's what it often is, an assault on a person with the intention to cause harm.

I suppose we are lucky as that this doesn't happen so much here in the UK as in other countries, we have equality..

Our team is better than your team.
My dad is bigger than your dad.

Well I don't know. If that's the way you have read it and from my conversations with foreign born residents or citizen who have lived in other country's countries and experienced racism. I suppose your right.

It's nice to hear someone say they love this country and definitely someone who's been an immigrant in another country.

Let's not forget there are people in this country who are full of hate. We will never eradicate this.
Clearly you didn't see the mickey-taking essence of my post.
I'll explain it to you:
You claimed that UK has less racism and more equality than other countries.
I responded with the childish playground often heard response, "my dad is bigger than your dad".

It was mimicry of your "it doesn't happen here so much and we're better than them".
I guess my mimicry of childish playground talk is lost on a football supporter.

I don't believe Funk is saying that. Even hard line right wing racist can't believe that to be acceptable
Who's Funk?
Currently there are no thought police, so we're all free to think what we wish.
It's only when thoughts are enacted, and those actions become dangerous that 'isms' can be illegal.

Best of luck claiming slander against an anonymous person by another anonymous person on t'internet.
And as it would be written, it would be libel not slander.

But even then the libel/slander allegation would fail if it were shown to be remotely true.

Then it will be tested, scrutinised and a verdict given. It won't stop racism though, but it may seek to highlight how extensive it is.

It wont be tested any time soon in my opinion. This govt is working on the divide and conquer principle.

They want us arguing and blaming everybody else so they can carry on as they are. Just happens that now we are out of the EU we cant blame that for our problems, so lets blame foreigners !

Clearly you think im taking you at face value and me agreeing with you. Not at all I just like you coming back and explaining your rubbish.

We can all be a little silly.

Like the footballers bending their knees in front of thousands of non offensive football fans.

The next time there's a terrorist attack on this country should I bend my knee at every passing Muslim?

There are many 'jabbists' around, and they are free to believe that they have the right to preach about what they think should be injected into human bodies for the 'common good'...

But do they have the right to vilify/threaten those who happen to think that they have their own right as to what they want to inject/not to inject into their own bodies?

Many have advocated forced medication (or medication by stealth - withdrawal of basic rights if non compliant), and yet we are now seeing that maybe the 'jabbists' have got it wrong!

So you think that bending the knee (a united gesture against racism) is somehow an attack against football fans? How did you arrive at that conclusion?
