Just perusing my TLC catalogue (as you do on a Friday afternoon...) and wondered why doorbell transformers come in 8 and 12V and also with different output currents (0.5 and 1A)
Can anyone enlighten me?
At a guess I would say that it might be to do with voltage drop (or avoidance of) so for a long distance chose the higher voltage??
Am I way off??
