Double glazing from 1991

Thanks folks, some good advice and tips.

My windows are internally beaded can anyone suggest the best way I might get these off? I've seen some use an old chisel, some a stiff blade scraper etc etc.

Also, in terms of replacement. What should I ideally be looking at, a local glazing manufacturer, online sellers, something/someone else?

Best,
Ns

The first bead to remove is the longest one - try in the middle, once it’s started it should begin to prise out easily.

Agree with Notch; centre of the longest one. I'd warm the beading up with a hair dryer and drive a sharpened paint scraper into the gap that is plastic both sides, lean the scraper over and tap it gently. If it's really tight/won't go and you feel you're going to ruin the bead or mark the frame you might have to sacrifice the gasket (best to replace anyway, likely well hard by now from years of UV) - running a blade down it parallel with the glass but adjacent the bead should allow you to pull the rubber out and give some more wiggle on the bead
